YOUNG CITY GROWERS is exploring the story of Detroit by watching and discussing the documentary Urban Roots. Join us this Thursday at 6pm, Downtown Kitchener, 134 Frederick at Police Station Division 1 as we watch the second half of the documentary and engage in conversation about urban agriculture.
Thanks to all the interns, project partners and community members that attended the Young City Growers Forum on February 22nd. Let’s keep the conversation going on creating urban agriculture opportunities for youth in the Waterloo Region!
We are in the process of re-vamping our appearance! Please stay tuned for our new and improved YCG website.
Thank you to those who were able to make it out to paint our very first YCG community mural! We discussed how to get involved with YCG and what it means to be a community gardener and food justice advocate. Don’t miss our next youth session early february!
Also, if you attended this youth session or are planning to attend any other sessions in the future you qualify to apply for our new Internship program. See “Internship program” page above for details.
