  1. Hi YCG! At our meeting last night we spoke about unique and often drastic circumstances which create opportunities for urban farming. As promised, here is the links to a two part series produced by The Nature of Things, called Cuba: the accidental revolution. Part one is focused on sustainable agriculture and has awesome footage from around Havana.

    Enjoy!

  2. I mentioned at YCG Meeting last week about some of the interesting stuff taking place in the Bronx through Majora Carter and how it was a bit of an inspiration for YCG, here is a ted talk that talks about sustainable development in the South Bronx and a great introduction to the work of environmental activist Majora Carter:

Would love to hear your thoughts!

  3. Majora Carter is an incredibly passionate and eloquent speaker. Her ideas for change are specific and inspirational. “Comprehensive sustainable change” and “green collar jobs” will be my next cocktail conversation.

  4. Every Spring we try to explore an Urban Ag film and our new group of interns have been watching Growing Cities over the last few weeks. Check out the trailer or even better the movie and let us know what you think!
